Member States have shared details with the Commission regarding the enforcement of the actions they've implemented.
In a series of traffic checks conducted by the Bad Salzdetfurth police on August 28, 2025, several incidents were uncovered. The operations, which took place in both Bad Salzdetfurth and Bockenem, resulted in several criminal and administrative offense proceedings.
In Bad Salzdetfurth, a 35-year-old driver was found with a truck featuring defective lighting equipment at 23:00 in Hachumer Straße. The driver was issued an on-the-spot penalty for this offense. This incident followed previous traffic offenses for which the driver was wanted by the Essen public prosecutor's office.
Around the same time in Lärchenstraße, a woman was caught driving despite having a driving ban, leading to a criminal proceeding against her. It was later revealed that she had surrendered her driver's license a few days earlier due to the driving ban.
In the same street and at an earlier hour, an electric scooter was checked. The 18-year-old owner was found to be using an unregistered vehicle in public traffic, which did not comply with regulations for electric microvehicles. As a result, a criminal proceeding was initiated against the 18-year-old owner for indirect false certification.
The checks in Bockenem were carried out earlier in the evening, specifically at 22:39 in "Am Alten Friedhof" street. Here, a 21-year-old truck driver was caught using a "speed camera warning app" on his mobile phone, an administrative offense punishable by a fine of at least 75 euros plus processing costs and one point in Flensburg.
