Get ready for an exciting day of cultural discovery as the annual Heritage Day® takes place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, under the theme "Worthwhile: priceless or irreplaceable?". This event offers a unique opportunity to explore various historical sites and monuments in Main-Spessart, including Alzenau, Mespelbrunn, Mömbris, Rothenbuch, Kahl, Karlstein-Dettingen, Krombach, and Großostheim.

Here's a rundown of some of the highlights:

  • Jüdischer Friedhof in Alzenau-Hörstein will be open at 15:00, guided by Herrn Oded Zingher. This peaceful and historical cemetery is a testament to the rich Jewish heritage in the region.
  • The Heimatmuseum "Alte Stube" in Mespelbrunn will be open from 14:00 to 18:00, hosted by the Heimat- und History Association. This charming museum offers a glimpse into local history and traditions.
