Merger Announcement: Beam and Neuron Companies Combine Forces

In a significant move for the micromobility industry, Beam Mobility and Neuron Mobility have agreed to merge. The combined company aims to create a truly global presence, offering its services across more than 100 cities worldwide.

The merger will see Neuron Mobility's co-founder and CEO, Zachary Wang, take on the role of Chairman and Global CEO. Beam Mobility's co-founder and CEO, Alan Jiang, will become the CEO of the company's Asian operations. Deb Gangopadhyay, Beam Mobility's President and fellow co-founder, will become a strategic advisor in the merged company.

Both companies will retain their respective brands, with Beam Mobility deploying its services in South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Turkey, and Neuron Mobility in Australia and Canada. The merged company will also leverage Neuron's leadership in these markets.

The combined company aims to be a global e-scooter operator with a clear path to profitability. It will offer micromobility services in both Neuron's and Beam's strongest respective markets, utilising Beam's strong presence in South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Turkey, and Neuron's leadership in Australia and Canada.

The merger is expected to be completed within 60 days, subject to customary closing conditions. The combined company will seek new opportunities for growth, with a focus on providing sustainable and efficient micromobility solutions to cities around the world.

While the search results do not provide information about the CEO who will lead the new company in Asia after the merger, it is clear that this move represents a significant step forward for the micromobility industry, with the merged company set to offer a truly global service.
