Mikkelsen expresses dissatisfaction about his love life
Mads Mikkelsen, the renowned Danish actor, recently starred in a new film titled "The Last Viking." The black comedy, directed by fellow Dane Anders Thomas Jensen, premiered at the prestigious Venice Film Festival.
For his role in the film, Mikkelsen underwent a significant transformation. He was required to sport a perm for two months, a decision that, according to the actor, had a negative impact on his love life. Upon wrapping up filming, Mikkelsen had the perm removed immediately and returned to his classic haircut with a grey fringe.
The film, set to hit German cinemas later this year, follows Mikkelsen as a grown man with the emotional maturity of a child. His character required him to empathize with women in the '80s, a challenge Mikkelsen embraced wholeheartedly.
Mikkelsen's performance in "The Last Viking" was well-received at the Venice Film Festival, with the actor presenting the film himself. The actor compared the smell of the perm to always smelling like a sewer, but after seeing his reflection, he admitted he did not like the perm.
Despite the challenges, Mikkelsen's dedication to his craft is evident in his work. Frequently listed among Europe's most sexually appealing actors, Mikkelsen continues to captivate audiences with his versatile performances.
An exact release date for "The Last Viking" in German cinemas has not been announced yet, but fans are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see Mikkelsen's latest work on the big screen.
