Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Combined Commanders' Conference in Kolkata

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Combined Commanders' Conference (CCC) next week in Kolkata. The three-day conclave will bring together India's top military leadership for discussions on various critical issues.

The CCC, known for its comprehensive deliberations, will focus on the long-awaited implementation of theatre commands, standardizing promotion timelines across the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and multi-domain operational readiness.

This year's CCC theme is 'Year of Reforms - Transforming for the Future', reflecting the government's commitment to modernizing and reforming the armed forces. The conference will also see discussions on efforts to integrate cyber warfare agencies under unified command structures and the armed forces' roadmap for technological modernization.

Besides the Prime Minister, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, and Defence Secretary RK Singh will also address the CCC.

One of the key topics of discussion will be Operation Sindoor, which targeted and dismantled Pakistan-based terror infrastructure. The use and effectiveness of indigenous defense platforms during Operation Sindoor will be presented to the Prime Minister during the CCC.

The CCC will also highlight progress in self-reliant military manufacturing, a crucial aspect of India's defense strategy.

On the second day of the CCC, the Prime Minister is expected to address top military commanders and other defense officials. The conference of Allied Commanders in September 2025 in Kolkata will also feature speeches from these dignitaries.

The CCC is a significant platform for the armed forces to present their roadmap for the future and discuss key operational, strategic, and administrative issues. The discussions during the CCC will undoubtedly shape the future of India's defense strategy.
