Israel has been facing mounting pressure at home and abroad to call off the offensive and end the war in Gaza, as the Israeli army prepares to launch an operation to capture Gaza City's largest urban centre. The Israeli military has not specified when the new offensive will start, and previously stated that the start of the offensive would not be announced in advance.

The Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, made this announcement through a post on social media, while the UN has warned of a potential disaster if the Israeli military proceeds with its plans to seize Gaza City. The UN estimates there are about a million people in and around Gaza City, and the organization fears the consequences of a military operation in such a densely populated area.

The Israeli army has urged Gaza City residents to leave for a "humanitarian zone" in the south, which is located in the Al-Mawasi area. The humanitarian zone has infrastructure such as field hospitals, water pipelines, desalination facilities, and continues to supply food, tents, medicines, and medical equipment. The humanitarian zone's expansion is happening parallel to the ground operation.

However, many Palestinians interviewed in Gaza City have stated there is "no safe place" in the territory, with many expressing they would rather die than be displaced again. Despite being declared a safe zone, the Israeli army has carried out numerous bombings in the Al-Mawasi area, targeting Hamas fighters hiding among civilians.

Israel has demanded that the Palestinian militant group release all hostages at once, lay down its arms, and give up control of Gaza, among other conditions. Hamas agreed to a ceasefire proposal last month that involved a temporary truce and the staggered release of hostages held in Gaza, but the proposal was rejected by Israel.

The search results do not provide the name of the UN representative or coordinator working with Israel and international organizations to coordinate humanitarian efforts in the Al-Mawasi security zones. The humanitarian efforts in the Al-Mawasi zone will continue in cooperation with the UN and international organizations.

As the situation in Gaza remains volatile, the international community continues to urge both sides to find a peaceful solution to the ongoing conflict. The UN's warnings of a potential disaster serve as a stark reminder of the humanitarian crisis that could unfold if the conflict escalates further.
