MINI designs its model after Goodwood event: The unveil of MINI's Rolls Royce-esque vehicle

In an exciting development, MINI is set to present a new luxury concept car at the Shanghai Motor Show in April – the MINI Goodwood Concept. This innovative vehicle is a modern production version of the 1960s coachbuilt Minis, with a hint of Rolls Royce in the mix.

The MINI 'Inspired by Goodwood' will be available in two distinctive colours: Rolls Royce's Diamond Black or MINI's own Reef Blue. The car is a marketing move aimed at those who want a MINI with Rolls Royce-like features, and it is expected to go into production in early 2012.

The MINI Goodwood Concept, which will debut at Shanghai this month, is another marketing strategy by MINI to differentiate and expand its offerings. The interior of the car features burr walnut, Cornsilk leather, Rolls Royce-typeface instruments, and a piano black finish. Standard features include Adaptive Xenons, Park Distance Control, Climate, and the Radio MINI Visual Boost sound system with Harman Kardon speakers.

The exterior of the MINI Inspired by Goodwood is similar to the MINI Cooper S, with a non-vented bonnet and bespoke alloys. The car will be limited to 1,000 units and is based on the MINI Cooper S with a 1.6-liter turbo engine producing 181bhp.

The MINI 'Inspired by Goodwood' Rolls Royce treatment is expected to extend throughout the MINI range. The car was first unveiled at this year's Shanghai Motor Show and has been on display at Harrods' window to celebrate the first customer deliveries.

The developer of the MINI Inspired by Goodwood is the BMW Group, and the car is priced around £50k. The MINI Goodwood Concept could be considered another concept that MINI could create and, if they waited long enough, would eventually produce.

In conclusion, the MINI Goodwood Concept is a testament to MINI's commitment to innovation and its ability to cater to a wide range of customers. With its luxurious features and Rolls Royce-inspired design, it is sure to turn heads and excite MINI enthusiasts worldwide. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new concept car.
