Jacob & Co. has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the Astronomia Solar Dragon 2025. This extraordinary timepiece showcases a detailed dragon sculpture, enhanced movement complexity, and a redesigned solar system display, setting it apart from previous models in the series.

At the heart of the Astronomia Solar Dragon is a central Jacob-cut gemstone. The rose gold version boasts 288 facets, while the DLC titanium variant features individually colored facets. Each watch comes with a hand-modeled dragon, often accompanied by motifs such as tigers or astronomical forms.

The Astronomia Solar Dragon houses the manually wound JCAM42 caliber with 296 components. It offers a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 48 hours. The watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters and comes on an alligator leather strap with a matching gold or DLC-coated buckle.

The Astronomia Dragon watches are available in solid rose gold or platinum, and the latest two variants are strictly limited: 36 pieces in rose gold and four individual pieces in black DLC titanium. The rose gold version features a titanium dial with a delicate star or celestial map pattern, blue in colour, while the DLC titanium variant sports a black dial. Each Astronomia Solar Dragon is a unique piece, taking several weeks to create.

The dragon sculpture in the watch is made of three solid parts, cast, engraved, polished, and hand-painted or completely DLC-coated. The attention to detail extends from the delicate scales to the claws of the dragon sculpture. The watch includes a flying tourbillon, a skeletonized, decentralized time display, and a magnesium Earth ball that rotates once per minute.

The Astronomia Solar Dragon is available in 2025, boasting a compact 44 mm diameter and 21 mm height case. Pricing for the Astronomia Dragon watches is available upon request, with amounts likely to be in the mid-six-figure range depending on material, limitation, and individual gemstone colour. The Astronomia Dragon watches are available worldwide.

The dragon, a symbol of strength and wisdom, has grown over the years to become a hallmark of Swiss watchmaking. The Astronomia Solar Dragon is no exception, offering a breathtaking blend of artistry and engineering that is sure to captivate collectors and enthusiasts alike.
