Mishap leads to Gescher's unintended release
In the town of Ahaus, authorities are on the hunt for a female driver, estimated to be between 60 and 70 years old, who is suspected of leaving the scene of a collision that occurred at a roundabout.
The incident involved a red compact car, bearing Coesfeld license plates, which is now wanted by the police. The vehicle is believed to have sustained damage during the collision, with an estimated repair cost in the thousands of euros.
The female driver, described as having brown-red hair and wearing glasses, was behind the wheel of the red compact car at the time of the accident. The name of this woman has not been disclosed to the public.
The collision took place when the vehicle ahead suddenly slowed down in the roundabout, causing the subsequent impact. The driver of the leading vehicle left the scene following the accident.
The grey VW Passat, which was also involved in the collision, suffered similar damage and repair costs are estimated to be in the same range as the red compact car.
The police are urging the driver of the red compact car to contact the Traffic Commission in Ahaus at Tel. (02561) 9260. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of this driver is asked to come forward and assist the authorities in their investigation.
The total damage to the vehicles involved in the collision is estimated to be several thousand euros, and the police are working diligently to identify and locate the driver of the red compact car.
