Bergisch Gladbach, Germany - The city has announced its schedule for mobile speed control points for the month of September, as per administrative regulation No. 48.26. These measures are aimed at prioritising traffic safety and making the best use of available resources.
The schedule, which can be found on the city's official website, includes the following locations:
- Reuterstraße, Lerbacher Weg, and Jägerstraße on September 2
- Am Rübezahlwald, Büschemer Straße, and Bruderstraße on September 5
- Duckterather Weg and Voiswinkeler Straße on September 6
- Kempener Straße, Taubenstraße, and Klutstein on September 4
- Paffrather Straße, Dolmanstraße, and Hornstraße on September 1
- Kippekausen, Ommerbornstraße, and Asselborner Weg on August 29
- Lückerather Weg and Schützheider Weg on August 30
- Odenthaler Straße, Ball, and Altenberger-Dom-Straße on September 3
The city also mentioned that mobile speed checks will occur between August 29 and September 6, 2025. However, it is important to note that unexpected traffic situations may cause deviations in the schedule.
The amended guidelines for § 48 Abs. 2 of the Ordnungsbehördengesetz (OBG), effective from July 15, 2013, place emphasis on the announcement and publication of communal measurement sites for speed monitoring. This is due to evidence showing that transparency and more controls lead to positive behavioural changes.
Speed monitoring results can be found on the city's official website at https://www.rbk-direkt.de/Dienstleistung.aspx?dlid=3741.
It is also worth noting that the police authority carries out its own controls, and information on these can be found on the police's official website.
Residents are encouraged to drive safely and adhere to the speed limits during these mobile speed control periods to ensure the safety of all road users.
