Michel Abdollahi, a renowned TV presenter, journalist, and artist, has penned his second book titled "It's Our Country" - a powerful manifesto that expresses hope for a future Germany. The book, set to be released on September 5th, is a follow-up to his award-winning debut "Es gehΓΆrt uns," which was launched at the Theater Centralkomitee in St. Georg.

In "It's Our Country," Abdollahi advocates for a society that values pluralism, overcomes increasing polarization, and rejects the divisive tactics of right-wing populists. The book's subtitle, "We must not leave Germany to the right-wingers," underscores this message of unity and resilience.

The book premiere events for "It's Our Country" will take place at the Kleinkunst-Theater Centralkomitee in St. Georg on September 4th and 5th. Remaining tickets for these evenings can be purchased at www.centralkomitee.de for 22 euros each.

Abdollahi's vision for Germany in five years includes a society that does not let itself be divided, a loss of power for right-wing populists, and established parties that listen to the citizens again. He emphasizes the importance of not retreating into one's bubble and being silent, but instead being loud and interfering.

The author also highlights Article 16 of the Basic Law as significant, as it rejects the idea of revoking citizenship arbitrarily. This reaffirms Abdollahi's commitment to democracy and his call for its defense in Germany.

In the book, Abdollahi suggests that the opposite of populism is empathy. To overcome increasing polarization, he suggests getting out of echo chambers, daring to talk to those who think differently, and building bridges instead of walls.

Abdollahi also hints at a potential third book in 2030 titled "Germany can do it!", suggesting a continued optimism for the future of his adopted country.

The event will take place at the Central Committee, Steindamm 45. Anxiety, anger, and vigilance, according to Abdollahi, are the results of systematic work by populists who exploit people's fears to pit them against each other. By writing "It's Our Country," Abdollahi aims to counteract these tactics and inspire a more empathetic, united, and confident Germany.
