Modernization of Government Services Secures $18.6 Million in Series A Funding

The AI company Polimorphic has announced a significant milestone in its mission to modernise local government services. The funding round, led by General Catalyst, has raised $18.6 million for the company.

With this new capital, Polimorphic plans to expand its operations, particularly in key states, and triple its sales and engineering teams. This growth will enable the company to deliver its innovative platform to more local governments, aiming to digitise how residents and cities interact.

CEO and Co-founder Parth Shah expressed his enthusiasm about the funding, stating that it will help Polimorphic change the way local governments operate, making public service easier, faster, and more human.

The Town of Palm Beach, Florida, has been a pioneer in collaborating with Polimorphic. The town looks forward to continuing these partnerships, praising the company's team for exceeding standards through innovation, responsiveness, and a commitment to excellence. According to Jess Savidge, Administrative and Communications Manager for the Town of Palm Beach, the town has continuously enhanced customer service and gained valuable insights to improve its digital presence thanks to Polimorphic's innovative platform and collaborative approach.

Polimorphic's AI solutions offer 24/7 online service in over 75 languages, making it possible for residents to access essential services at any time. The company's offerings include the AI Front Desk, Constituent Relationship Manager, and Analytics tools, all designed to streamline interactions between residents and local governments.

Sreyas Misra, Partner at General Catalyst, believes that Polimorphic has the potential to become the next modern system of record for local and state government. He emphasises that AI is the jet fuel that accelerates the adoption of foundational platforms beyond traditional ERP and accounting in the public sector.

M13 General Partner Latif Peracha points out that government inefficiency creates billions of dollars in waste, a problem Polimorphic's solutions are built to solve. By digitising how residents and cities interact, Polimorphic aims to remove wasted time and money from the system.

Moreover, the funding will help reduce burnout among public servants and unlock capacity for community impact. Sreyas Misra states that Polimorphic is making it possible for local and state governments to automate highly complex workflows from end-end, something that's been out of reach until now.

The company also plans to develop advanced GovTech features, including a full-service AI Front Desk, GIS-based support, and agentic AI application reviews. These advancements will further enhance the efficiency and accessibility of government services.

Polimorphic's customers have achieved significant results, including a 90% reduction in voicemails, a 75% decrease in walk-in requests, and over $10 million in online payments. As the company continues to grow and innovate, it is poised to revolutionise local government services, making them more efficient, accessible, and human.

M13 and Shine continue to support Polimorphic in its mission, sharing the belief that the company's solutions will have a profound impact on the way local governments operate. With the new funding, Polimorphic is ready to take on this challenge and change the landscape of public service.
