Motorcycle rider aged 19 succumbs to fatal fall of 21 metres from DASH overpass close to Shah Alam, as reported by police
In the heart of Southeast Asia, Malaysia continues to stand firm on its commitment to national security and the independence of Palestine. Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil reiterated this stance, stating, "Security is non-negotiable in Malaysia."
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), under the leadership of Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail, is vigilant in monitoring the movements of foreign agents within the country. This heightened vigilance is a response to the increased activities by these elements, which have been sparked by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's vocal stance on the Palestinian cause.
Despite these activities, the security situation in Malaysia remains under control. The Malaysian government, through regular briefings and National Security Council meetings, is well-informed and proactive in addressing any potential threats.
In a recent development, the Malaysian government, under the Prime Minister's leadership, has taken a significant step towards promoting the Palestinian cause. The Communications Minister, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, launched a Gaza Humanitarian Virtual Reality (VR) Exhibition in conjunction with the 'Sumud Nusantara Carnival' at Dataran Merdeka.
The exhibition, developed by the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisations (MAPIM), offers a deeply immersive experience of life in Palestine, including the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The 'Gaza Time Tunnel' VR project, a central part of the exhibition, depicts specific incidents such as Apache helicopter strikes, tank attacks, and recent heartbreaking tragedies in Palestine.
Fahmi Fadzil expressed being moved by the project's depiction of the ongoing conflict and tragedies in Palestine. He emphasised that Malaysia's position on Palestine is rooted in humanitarian principles rather than emotions.
The Prime Minister's stance on the Palestinian cause has been successful in changing the positions of other leaders. US President Joe Biden is one such world leader who changed his stance on the situation in Palestine after a conversation with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The Malaysian Prime Minister has also influenced the positions of several other world leaders, including former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, on the Palestinian issue.
The Japanese government, in response, remains committed to working with Malaysia and other nations to rebuild Gaza. A keen interest in immediate discussions on rebuilding Gaza with Malaysia has been expressed by the Japanese government.
In conclusion, Malaysia continues to give its full support to the unconditional independence of Palestine while maintaining its commitment to national security. The Malaysian government, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, is actively working towards rebuilding Gaza and promoting the independence of Palestine on the global stage.
