Motorcycle Rider Gravely Harmed in Road Crash in Poland
On Sunday evening, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision at the intersection of Lavelsloher Straße and L 770. According to the Polizei Minden-Lübbecke, the incident occurred around 6:45 PM.
The motorcyclist, a 50-year-old man from the Samtgemeinde Dransfeld (district of Göttingen), was travelling on L 770 towards Espelkamp on a BMW motorcycle. Meanwhile, a VW car from Diepenau was intending to turn left onto L 770 from Diepenau. The collision resulted in the motorcycle crashing into the left front wing of the car.
As a result of the collision, both vehicles were no longer roadworthy. The driver and passenger of the VW car were reportedly unharmed. However, the motorcyclist was taken to Minden Hospital due to severe injuries.
The police officer leading the investigations into the accident has not been publicly disclosed.
