MTV Video Music Awards 2025 Results Overview: Lady Gaga Leads With Four Victories; Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter Score Major Wins

The music industry came together to celebrate the best of the best at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, held at the UBS Arena in New York on September 7. This year's ceremony was filled with exciting performances, emotional speeches, and a multitude of awards given to deserving artists.

Sabrina Carpenter had a triumphant night, clinching three trophies. She won the Best Pop Artist award, the Best Album award for her album Short n' Sweet, and the Best Visual Effects award for her music video Manchild. In addition, she also won the Best Album award for Short n' Sweet.

Lady Gaga was another big winner of the night, receiving four awards out of her twelve nominations. She won the Artist of the Year award, the Best Art Direction award for her music video Abracadabra, the Best Direction award for the same video, and the Best Collaboration award for her song Die With a Smile alongside Bruno Mars. Gaga also won the Best Art Direction award for Abracadabra.

Ariana Grande also had a successful night, winning the Video of the Year trophy and the Best Pop award for her song Brighter Days Ahead.

In the category of Best New Artist, Alex Warren was named the winner. The Best K-pop award was given to LISA ft. Doja Cat & RAYE for their song Born Again.

Kendrick Lamar won the Best Cinematography award for his music video Not Like Us, while Tate McRae won the Best Editing award for her music video Just Keep Watching (From F1 The Movie).

In the category of Best Afrobeats, Tyla won for Push 2 Start. Shakira won the Best Latin award for her song Soltera. Mariah Carey won the Best R&B award for her song Type Dangerous. Coldplay won the Best Rock award for their song All My Love.

The Best Hip-Hop award was given to Doechii for her song Anxiety. sombr won the Best Alternative award for their song Back to Friends.

Charli xcx's Guess featuring Billie Eilish won the Video for Good award. Megan Moroney won the Best Country award for her song Am I Okay?. Tate McRae's Just Keep Watching (From F1 The Movie) won the Song of the Summer award.

Finally, KATSEYE won the MTV Push Performance of the Year for their song Touch. ROSÉ & Bruno Mars won the Song of the Year award for their song APT.

This year's MTV Video Music Awards was a night to remember, showcasing the best of music, creativity, and talent. Congratulations to all the winners!
