Multi-storey house fire takes place in the kitchen of the fifth floor, affecting a multi-family building in FW Hannover.

In the heart of Hannover, a kitchen fire broke out in a multi-family home on Hägewiesen Street, located in the Sahlkamp district, around 3:30 PM on Thursday afternoon.

The Hannover Fire Department swiftly responded to the emergency call, deploying an emergency team equipped with breathing apparatus to search the affected apartment and extinguish the flames. To clear the smoke, a fire department fan was utilised. In total, 30 firefighters and emergency service personnel were present at the scene.

The fire was discovered on the 5th floor of the apartment, and fortunately, no persons were found during the search. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. The affected apartment is currently uninhabitable due to the fire.

Additional police personnel were also present to assist in managing the scene. The rest of the multi-family home was not affected by the fire.

The operation involved thirteen vehicles, and the incident was resolved around 4:30 PM. The Hannover Fire Department did not specify whether any persons were found in the affected apartment during the search.
