Alex Mumbru, the head coach of the German national basketball team, has been discharged from the hospital in Tampere, Finland, according to a statement from the German Basketball Federation (DBB). Mumbru had been hospitalized since last Monday due to an "acute abdomen," as confirmed by team doctor Oliver Puetz.

During Mumbru's absence, his assistant, Alan Ibrahimagic, took charge of the team for the games against Montenegro, Sweden, and Lithuania. The team managed to secure victories in all three games under Ibrahimagic's leadership.

Mumbru was initially reported to have returned to the team hotel on Saturday evening, but he will continue to receive medical care at the hotel. The current head coach for the game against host Finland on Wednesday remains undetermined.

The preliminary round game against Britain on Monday will be led by Ibrahimagic as head coach, with the game being broadcasted on RTL and MagentaSport (DBB). The game against Sweden and Lithuania were also coached by Ibrahimagic due to Mumbru's hospitalization.

Ibrahimagic reported that Mumbru had complained of discomfort several days before his hospitalization. The EM opening game against Montenegro took place without Mumbru present due to his hospitalization. The game against host Finland on Wednesday lacks information regarding the head coach.

The DBB announced Mumbru's discharge from the hospital at the EM, marking a significant step in his recovery. As Mumbru continues to recuperate, the team can take confidence from their undefeated record under Ibrahimagic's leadership, hoping to carry this momentum into their upcoming games.
