The Alfi-Museum, located at Bergstraße 53, 98645 Kaltennordheim OT Fischbach/Rhön, has announced that Dr. Steffen Raßloff will be its patron for the year 2026. This esteemed historian and publicist from Erfurt has shown a keen interest in the museum's unique story and will provide valuable insights to enrich its work.
The Alfi-Museum, which displays over a century of corporate and product history, tells the story of the Aluminiumwarenfabrik Fischbach. It is situated at the founding site in the Thuringian Rhön. In a ceremony held at the "Haus zum Stockfisch" city museum in Erfurt, the Alfi-Museum presented an engraved thermos flask to Dr. Raßloff, symbolising his new role. The "Juwel" thermos flask, still used today as a "Chancellor's thermos" in the Federal Cabinet, is a testament to the museum's enduring influence.
As patron, Dr. Raßloff will advise on the selection of speakers and topics for the lecture series, strengthen cooperation with other institutions, and provide impulses for the museum's work. He will also accompany the lecture series in 2026. The museum's supporting association, which enriches the region with a lecture series on cultural history topics at Dermbach Castle, is excited about this new collaboration.
