Engie Secures Contract Extension for Technical Management at Mercedes-Benz Museum
In a significant development, Engie Germany has secured a contract extension to continue managing the technical operations and event organisation at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. The new contract will last until the end of July 2023.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum, a major attraction for many years, boasts an impressive exhibition space of around 16,500 square meters. This expansive area houses over 160 vehicles and more than 1,500 exhibits, offering a captivating journey through the brand's rich history.
Engie's responsibilities extend beyond the museum building. The company also manages the connecting building with the shop, catering area, and kitchen areas, ensuring a seamless visitor experience. Moreover, Engie is responsible for the technical management of outdoor facilities at the museum, ensuring brand-appropriate presentation and smooth operation.
Alexander HΓ€fele, Head of Facility Management in the Facility Solutions department at the Engie branch in Stuttgart, leads the team responsible for these duties. Since 2018, Engie Germany has been providing technical services for the museum building, the Mercedes-Benz Center, and all facilities on the museum site.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum is not just a tourist destination; it is also used as a venue for various events. With approximately 800,000 visitors per year, the museum plays a crucial role in Stuttgart's tourism industry.
