National Armed Forces of Nigeria accept applications from bachelors and masters degree holders across the country for military service.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that it is inviting applications for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025 enlistment. The registration period for this opportunity is from August 27 to October 7, 2025.

To be eligible, applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and must possess certificates of full registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria (where applicable). They must also be between 20 and 32 years of age, except for medical doctors who can be up to 40 years old.

Interested applicants are required to complete their forms online and print out the Acknowledgement Form. It is important to note that only those not serving in any armed forces branch may apply.

Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards. They must also have a minimum of a Second-Class Lower Division for degree holders or Lower Credit for HND holders.

For the Local Government Area Attestation Form, signatures can be obtained from a military officer not below Wing Commander, a Police officer of at least Assistant Commissioner rank, a Local Government Chairman/Secretary, or a Magistrate from the applicant's state of origin. The Local Government Area Attestation Form must include a passport photograph and photocopy of a driver's license, national ID card, or international passport of the signatory.

Applicants are also expected to print out the Parent/Guardian Consent Form. Graduates and postgraduates across various professions are encouraged to apply. Serving personnel must be recommended by his/her Commanding Officer and must have served for 10 years.

The NAF stated that the forms will not be generated for invalid applications. The recommended registration time for the Direct Short Service Commission 34/2025 at the Nigerian Air Force is 12:00 noon.
