The European Basketball Championship is set to take place across various cities, with Munich serving as the journalistic hub for the event. One of the key figures involved in the coverage is Moritz Wagner, who will offer his expertise as an analyst for MagentaSport.

Wagner, a member of the German team, is excited about his new role. He aims to contribute to a wider reach for basketball through his work with MagentaSport, providing insights and analysis for selected games. Unfortunately, due to a knee injury sustained in December, Wagner will not be able to play in the tournament.

In his role, Wagner will accompany the live broadcasts, sharing his knowledge and providing valuable perspectives. He will also offer expert insights in the podcast 'EuroBasket Special' on MagentaSport.

Joining Wagner in the broadcasts is Jan Lüdeke, who will serve as the moderator. Lüdeke will be present for key events such as the live coverage of the quarterfinal between Germany and Slovenia, along with experts Per Günther and Wagner, commentators Michael Körner and Alex Vogel, and field reporter Stefanie Blochwitz.

The German team's first game will take place on Wednesday at 14:45, against Montenegro, with the games for the group stage being held in Tampere, Finland. The knockout phase of the tournament will take place in Riga, Latvia.

In addition to live games, MagentaSport will offer a wealth of basketball content. This includes daily DBB updates, podcasts, historical games, documentaries, and more, aiming to set new standards in basketball coverage with 170 hours of live EM programming.

Another NBA star on the German team is Dennis Schröder. Joining Schröder is Franz Wagner, one of Germany's two NBA stars, who will also be participating in the tournament.

The European Basketball Championship kicks off on August 27th, 2020, promising an exciting and action-packed event for basketball fans across Europe. Despite his injury, Moritz Wagner looks forward to being part of the bigger picture in the championship's coverage with MagentaSport.
