The European Basketball Championship is set to begin on August 27th, with a host of exciting events and activities planned. The tournament will feature live games, podcasts, historical games, documentaries, and more, aiming to set new standards in basketball reporting with 170 hours of live programming.

The journalistic centre for the event will be in Munich, while the games in the group stage will be held in Tampere, Finland. A studio will also be set up in Tampere during the group stage, and in Riga during the final round. The knockout phase of the tournament will be held in Riga, Latvia.

One of the highlights of the event will be the participation of German NBA stars, Franz Wagner and Dennis Schröder. However, Moritz Wagner, another German NBA star, will unfortunately be unable to play due to a knee injury sustained in December. Despite his injury, Moritz Wagner will still be a part of the tournament, serving as an expert.

Moritz Wagner will provide TV analysis for selected games, as well as expert commentary in the podcast 'EuroBasket Spezial'. He will also accompany the live broadcasts exclusively for MagentaSport. In addition to his role in the live broadcasts, Moritz Wagner will also contribute to MagentaSport’s "EuroBasket Spezial" podcasts for the European Basketball Championship.

Daily updates will be provided during the tournament, featuring information, analyses, highlights, top ten rankings, opponent checks, and player portraits. The first German game of the tournament will take place on Wednesday at 14:45, against Montenegro.

With a variety of events, expert analysis, and exciting games, the European Basketball Championship promises to be an unmissable event for basketball fans.
