New Leadership at OPW: David Malinas Takes Over as President

David Malinas, a seasoned executive with over 20 years of operational leadership experience, has been appointed as the new president of OPW, a Dover company. Malinas succeeds Kevin Long, who served at Dover for 11 years, including a tenure as the president of OPW since 2017.

Malinas joins OPW after most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Duravant, a global automation equipment company headquartered in Chicago. Prior to his tenure at Duravant, Malinas held senior positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Danaher Corporation.

Malinas's efforts significantly contributed to driving profitable growth across all of Dover's operating companies during his time at the company. He also led the development and implementation of Dover's manufacturing strategy, focusing on optimizing the production floor, continuous improvement, supply chain efficiency, and quality enhancement.

Malinas holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from the same institution. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Malinas is excited to rejoin the Dover organization and looks forward to working with the OPW team. His goal is to build on the strong foundation at OPW and accelerate growth, improve performance, and deliver long-term value to OPW's customers.

Kevin Long, the former president of OPW, expressed his confidence in Malinas's leadership, stating that he is the right person to lead OPW into the future. Long has been a valuable asset to Dover for many years and will be missed, but he is looking forward to supporting Malinas in any way he can.

Malinas's new role as president of OPW, a Dover company, is effective immediately. With his extensive experience and proven track record of success, Malinas is poised to lead OPW to new heights.
