New leadership in Herzogenaurach: Rainer Schramm takes charge within the department.
New Police Chief Takes Over in Herzogenaurach
Rainer Schramm, a seasoned police officer with a distinguished career, has taken over as the new head of the Police Inspectorate in Herzogenaurach, effective July 1, 2025.
Born in Fürth in 1979, Schramm began his career with the Bavarian Rapid Deployment Police in Nuremberg in 1997. After completing his training with excellent results, he was admitted to the promotion program for the 4th qualification level.
Schramm's career path has seen him serve at various police inspectorates, including Fürth, Neustadt an der Aisch, and Zirndorf, where he worked in the criminal police and the asylum service. His dedication and outstanding performance earned him a promotion to the 3rd qualification level and a spot in a tactical unit at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Police Inspectorate.
Dr. German Hacker, the First Mayor of Herzogenaurach, warmly welcomed Schramm as the new head of the Police Inspectorate. Police President Adolf Blochl, the current police president of the Polizeidirektion Mittelfranken, considered Schramm to be one of the best and his top candidate for the position.
Alexander Bugla, who previously led the station, has left to begin his studies at the Police University. Schramm has been serving as deputy head of the Herzogenaurach Police Inspectorate since 2021.
Schramm expressed his desire to maintain a short line of communication and open exchange with network partners. He also emphasized his commitment to further strengthen the trust of the citizens in the police.
On July 1, 2025, Schramm was officially inaugurated into the position by the President of the Police Headquarters Middle Franconia, Mr. Adolf Blochl. The First Mayor of Herzogenaurach, Dr. German Hacker, emphasized that they always communicate in a short way.
Schramm thanks Mr. Blochl for his support and the trust placed in him as the new head of the Herzogenaurach Police Inspectorate. He returns to Middle Franconia, ready to build on the excellent work of his predecessors and shape it.
