New Model of Hero Vida V2 Unveiled with Starting Prices Under Rs. 100,000

Hero MotoCorp, the renowned Indian automobile manufacturer, has entered the electric scooter segment with the launch of its new offering, the Vida V2. This launch marks a significant milestone in the company's electric vehicle (EV) journey, according to Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero MotoCorp.

The Vida V2 comes in three variants: the V2 Lite, V2 Plus, and V2 Pro. All three variants are equipped with removable batteries that can be charged at home within 6 hours for 80% charge. The V2 Pro variant features a 3.94 kWh battery, while the V2 Pro and V2 Lite have 3.44 kWh and 2.2 kWh battery packs respectively.

Hero MotoCorp aims to improve its market share in the electric scooter segment with the Vida V2. The company is offering the Vida V2 with a 5-year or 50,000 km vehicle warranty, and the battery pack comes with a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty.

The Vida V2 Pro variant boasts a claimed IDC range of 165 km. It also offers four riding modes - Eco, Ride, Sport, and Custom. Hero claims a 0-40 kmph acceleration time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 90 kmph for the Vida V2 Pro variant.

The Vida V2 is positioned as an affordable and accessible electric scooter. Prices for the Vida V2 start at ₹96,000 for the V2 Lite, ₹1.15 lakh for the V2 Plus, and ₹1.36 lakh for the V2 Pro (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Vida V2 comes equipped with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, keyless entry, and regenerative braking. Vida V2 customers have access to over 3,100 Vida fast-charging networks across over 250 cities in India.

The electric light motorcycle brand Vida and the Vida V2 were developed and released by the company Vida. With the launch of the Vida V2, Hero MotoCorp is set to compete in the growing electric scooter market in India.
