Starbucks Introduces Protein-Packed Beverages

Starbucks has announced the addition of Protein Cold Foam and a new line of Protein Lattes to their menu, starting on September 29th. The coffee giant aims to deliver these new protein beverages in an innovative, premium, and delicious way, tapping into the growing consumer demand for protein.

Customers in the United States and Canada can expect the new Protein Cold Foam topping and a new line of Protein Lattes made with protein-boosted milk starting next week. The Protein Cold Foam will add approximately 15 grams of protein to any grande cold beverage, while each 16-ounce "grande" Protein Latte will contain 27 to 36 grams of protein.

The Protein Cold Foam will be offered as a topping for any cold beverage, and it will not alter the flavor of the beverage it is added to. In addition to the classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and matcha, the Protein Cold Foam will also be available in a new banana flavor, as well as seasonal options like pumpkin and pecan. For those watching their sugar intake, sugar-free and unsweetened choices will also be available.

Starbucks global chief brand officer, Tressie Lieberman, stated that these new protein beverages are part of their efforts to modernize the menu with innovative and relevant products. The company shared the news on social media, with the post stating "The secret's out: protein is coming 9.29." The post received positive reactions from customers, with comments like "as a fitness girlie this is a yes" and "this is what i've been WAITING FOR."

In addition to the Protein Cold Foam, customers can also add protein-boosted 2% milk to any beverage that includes milk in its recipe, such as Lattes, Iced Shaken Espresso, and Coconut Milk Refreshers, adding 12 to 16 grams of protein per grande with no added sugar or change in flavor. The new line of Protein Lattes will come in a variety of options, but Starbucks has not specified the exact flavors yet.

With these new protein-packed beverages, Starbucks continues to innovate and cater to the needs of their customers, offering a delicious and convenient way to get a protein boost on the go. Whether you're looking to fuel up before a workout or just want to add some extra protein to your diet, these new protein beverages are sure to hit the spot.
