New Zealand Introduces Off-Road Focused Ram 1500 Rebel

Ram Trucks New Zealand has announced the addition of the Ram 1500 Rebel to its local range. This new addition is equipped with a powerful all-new 3.0L Hurricane straight-six twin-turbo engine, delivering an impressive 313kW of power and 635Nm of torque.

The Ram 1500 Rebel is designed for off-road enthusiasts, with a host of features that cater to rugged terrain. It boasts an approach angle of 20.9 degrees, a departure angle of 22.2 degrees, and a rampover angle of 19.2 degrees. The truck also comes with a heavy-duty tow bar as standard, and offers a towing capacity of up to 4.5-tonnes and a payload of 672kg.

The exterior design of the Ram 1500 Rebel is as striking as it is functional. It features a 'power bulge' Sports Hood, Rebel decals, a two-tone color scheme, powder-coated front and rear steel bumpers, fender flares, and a unique 18-inch wheel design. The truck also includes Rebel badging on the tailgate, a Rebel grille, and front bumper.

The interior of the Ram 1500 Rebel is equally impressive, featuring a unique red-and-black trim combination. The front seats are heated, and the outside rear seats are also heated for added comfort. The truck is equipped with a 19-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, ensuring an immersive audio experience. A panoramic sunroof is standard, allowing passengers to enjoy the open sky.

The Ram 1500 Rebel is equipped with a widescreen 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.4-inch infotainment screen. The front seat passenger has a dedicated 10.25-inch display screen for phone connectivity and smartphone screen mirroring. This passenger display screen also allows access to the vehicle's embedded navigation system and camera view.

The New Zealand specification of the Ram 1500 Rebel includes Bilstein high-riding off-road suspension, 32-inch all-terrain tyres, underbody protection, an E-locker rear differential, and five distinct driving modes. These features make the Ram 1500 Rebel a capable off-road vehicle, ready to tackle any terrain.

The Ram 1500 Rebel is priced at NZ$159,990 plus on-road costs and is due to arrive in New Zealand showrooms at the end of this month. With its powerful engine, off-road capabilities, and stylish design, the Ram 1500 Rebel is sure to be a hit with New Zealand truck enthusiasts.
