In a surprising turn of events, Micah Parsons, the highly-touted linebacker, was traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers last week, a move that came with a record-setting contract. However, it seems that Parsons' mother, Sherese, remains loyal to her son's former team.

During the Eagles' season opener, Sherese was spotted wearing Dallas Cowboys gear, indicating her continued support for the team. This is perplexing, given that Parsons hails from Harrisburg, PA, which is 107 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

This life-changing news left Sherese in tears when Parsons broke the news to her last week. The trade agreement included a four-year, $188 million contract for Parsons, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history with $136m guaranteed.

The trade came after a four-month contract stalemate between Parsons and the Cowboys, during which he revealed he went through a difficult period. Sherese and Parsons were both at the Cowboys' final preseason game, suggesting that she may have continued to support the team despite her son's trade.

At the Cowboys' 2025 NFL season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Sherese was again seen at the game wearing Dallas Cowboys merchandise, but it is unclear if she was wearing a Parsons jersey.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made a comment to Sherese, implying that Parsons only wanted money, just one week after his trade to the Packers. Jones' comment could be interpreted as a jab at Parsons' trade request or his new contract with the Packers. However, Sherese did not appear upset with Jones' comment, giving him a big hug.

Sherese was also spotted with Jones last month amid Parsons' contract feud, adding another layer of intrigue to the situation. Parsons himself took to Instagram to share a clip of him hugging his mother, who was visibly tearing up, with the caption: 'That moment when (your) momma never got to work again! God you are amazing!'

As the dust settles on this unexpected turn of events, it remains to be seen how Parsons' move to the Packers will affect his relationship with the Cowboys and his mother's allegiance.
