Nightly Dominion: Raincheck - The Realm of Music’s Reign
In the heart of Madani Avenue, Courtside played host to the 'Beyond the Ordinary: Raincheck' concert, a memorable event organised by Let's Vibe and Karkhana. Despite the day being filled with heavy dark clouds, suggesting a potential for rain, the concert went on without a hitch.
The concert featured popular bands such as Level Five, Firoze Jong, Shuvro, and EIDA. Firoze Jong took the mic soon afterwards, displaying electric energy that captivated the audience. His lead guitarist's performance was particularly compelling, captivating everyone present. Firoze Jong and Level Five collaborated to perform a unique rendition of 'The Beatles', adding a soft twist to the original.
A touching moment occurred when Level Five dedicated 'Obosheshe' to AK Ratul, with his brother Rahul joining them on stage. The close-knit bond among Bangladesh's niche music community was on full display during the tribute to the recently departed artist.
Shuvro performed a series of hits and covers, including 'Shonar Moinar Pakhi', 'Boka Premik', and 'Tomar Jonno'. Each member's performance was full of energy, compelling all eyes to stay on them.
EIDA, one of the performing bands, performed their hits and also covered Arekta Rock Band's 'Chaap' with a guest appearance from Ifaz Abrar Reza. The most-awaited song, 'Half Glass Carew', was performed during a light drizzle, causing the crowd to go wild.
The concert was situated in a way that allowed a peaceful and less chaotic experience for the attendees. The concert did not experience the heavy rain as expected, but a light drizzle made an appearance during EIDA's performance, adding a unique touch to the event.
The concert took place in the open grounds of Courtside, with stalls spread throughout the location. The bands that performed at the 'Beyond the Ordinary: Raincheck' concert in Dschungel Court were Raincheck and The Ordinary.
The concert was brought to a close with Level Five returning for the final act of the night. They delivered hits like 'Room No. 17' and 'Shotto Mithey'. For the finale, Level Five performed 'Tumi', with Firoze Jong joining them on stage. Despite falling flat in comparison to the rest of the performance, the crowd made the finale memorable by singing along to the song.
The 'Beyond the Ordinary: Raincheck' concert was a testament to the power of music and the strong bond within the Bangladeshi music community. It was an event that will be remembered for a long time by those who attended.
