The wait is nearly over for compact crossover enthusiasts, as Nissan has announced the upcoming release of the 2025 Nissan Kicks. Set to hit dealerships in the United States and Canada later this summer, this new model promises to energize the segment and enhance every drive.

Nissan unveiled the 2025 Kicks at the opening rounds of the 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at Barclays Center. The event, dubbed the Kicks Unboxing, was a celebration of the vehicle's expressive design, inspired by sneakers, and its advanced technology and capability.

One of the key improvements in the 2025 Kicks is its increased size. Compared to its predecessor, the new model is larger on the outside and roomier inside, offering best-in-class standard ground clearance and best-in-class standard cargo space. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a practical and versatile vehicle.

The 2025 Kicks is also packed with features designed to make driving easier and more enjoyable. Available ProPILOT Assist combines steering assistance with Intelligent Cruise Control, while the new model offers a more responsive Xtronic transmission. Drivers will also appreciate the convenience of available wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, as well as up to four USB Type-C ports and available wireless charging.

Safety is a top priority for Nissan, and every 2025 Kicks includes standard Nissan Safety Shield® 360 for added driver reassurance. This comprehensive suite of safety features includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and high beam assist.

In addition to the standard features, the 2025 Kicks offers a new available power panoramic sunroof, as well as available dual 12.3-inch displays on the dashboard. The new Kicks is also set to feature a 2.0-liter inline-four engine and will offer available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.

Nissan is an official partner of the 2024 March Madness tournament, and the Kicks Unboxing event was open on March 22 and 24 during game times. The 2025 Kicks will also be on display at the 2024 New York International Auto Show from March 27 through April 7.

Ponz Pandikuthira, Nissan's Chief Planning Officer and product chief for Nissan USA, is involved in strategic planning such as reviving models like the Xterra and overseeing product lines including the GT-R successor. The new Nissan Kicks is expected to be a significant addition to the Nissan lineup, and Pandikuthira is confident that it will be well-received by consumers.

With its roomier interior, advanced technology, and impressive capabilities, the 2025 Nissan Kicks is poised to make a big impact in the compact crossover segment. Keep an eye out for it at your local Nissan dealer this summer.
