In the quiet town of Freiburg-Haslach, Germany, a break-in at a local bakery made headlines on August 19, 2025. The incident, which took place overnight, has since been resolved with the arrest and sentencing of a 22-year-old man.
The police received a call from the bakery in Freiburg-Haslach, reporting the break-in. A witness had heard suspicious noises coming from the business on Uffhauser StraΓe around 3 a.m. The suspect was reportedly available and spoke to the police on the night of the incident.
Upon arrival, the police found the suspect at the scene and arrested him. It was discovered that he was in possession of stolen goods. The arrested man was subsequently handed over to the Freiburg Public Prosecutor's Office.
The Freiburg Public Prosecutor's Office requested an accelerated procedure at the Freiburg Local Court. The court sentenced the man to five months' imprisonment, suspended, on charges related to the break-in.
