On Sunday, August 24, 2025, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Wilhelm Heinichen-Ring / Hannoversche Heerstraße. The accident involved a 36-year-old Nissan driver who veered off the road, crossed a curb, and collided head-on with a street lamp. The extent of damage to the street lamp is still unknown, while the vehicle was completely destroyed and is no longer roadworthy, with damages amounting to approximately 12,000 euros.
