News Article: Nordhorn Senior Trip 2025 Announced
The City of Nordhorn Senior Office, in collaboration with the Senior Council, has announced a day trip for residents aged 60 and above on September 2, 2025. The event is scheduled to take place with the assistance of Rees Personenschifffahrt.
The presale for the trip will be held at Stadthaus I, on the first floor in the small meeting room, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on July 14, 2025. During the presale, a maximum of four tickets per person will be available. It's important to note that no reservations are possible for the trip.
The day's itinerary includes a two-hour boat tour on the Rhine from Rees am Rhein. Upon boarding, participants will be treated to potato salad with Bockwurst. After the boat tour, a cozy coffee table will be held at the country inn Niermann in Westenberg (Gildehaus). The trip also includes bus trips, two small sandwiches per person, a piece of apple cake with cream, and coffee/tea at the country inn Niermann.
Participants should be aware that short distances have to be covered on foot during the trip. The departure for the trip is scheduled for 8:00 AM at the former Central Bus Station (ZOB) in Nordhorn, Seeuferstraße. The return to the ZOB is expected around 5:30 PM.
