In the heart of Bielefeld, on the night of Wednesday, 4th September 2025, an unknown individual attempted to break into a Mercedes Sprinter vehicle used for transporting disabled persons on Straße Auf der großen Heide.

The incident took place between 16:50 on Wednesday and 06:45 on Thursday. The suspect forced open the left rear door of the vehicle, but the attempt was unsuccessful due to the ramp for wheelchairs being in the retracted position.

The Bielefeld Police are seeking witnesses related to this incident. Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department 13 at 0521/545-0. No further details about the suspect have been provided.
