Officer bitten by assailant, a woman under the influence, in the leg during an altercation.
On Monday evening (September 1st), a disturbance in an ambulance on Theodor-Haubach-StraΓe in Wiesbaden led to an unusual incident. A 45-year-old woman, heavily intoxicated, bit one of the officers on the leg.
The police were alerted to the woman's behaviour, and upon arriving at the scene, they found her causing a commotion. The officers had to subdue and restrain the woman before deciding to take her into custody.
Despite the attack, the officer who was bitten was able to continue his duties. Fortunately, the woman did not require medical attention.
The woman's actions were not only aggressive but also intended to prevent further crimes, according to reports. However, her actions have resulted in additional charges. In addition to assaulting a law enforcement officer, she will also face charges for resisting arrest, insulting an officer, and causing a disturbance.
The Westhessen Police Headquarters is investigating the incident further. Meanwhile, the woman spent the night in a cell to sober up.
It's worth noting that a separate incident occurred on August 19, 2025, in Reichshainpark, Memmingen. A 16-year-old male was accused of assaulting policewomen after a cannabis control, resisting the officers forcibly, and using insults and threats. This individual is currently facing charges for assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and insulting officials.
Both incidents serve as a reminder of the challenging situations that law enforcement officers often face and the importance of respecting and cooperating with them.
