According to the reports, the scam involved a phone call from someone claiming to be a distressed family member in need of an expensive hospital injection. The victim, moved by compassion, collected cash and valuable jewelry to give to a man at Lange Kamp Street.
The man who picked up the cash and jewelry was approximately 1.75 meters tall, had dark short hair, and was wearing light clothing. He was aged between 20 and 30 years old. However, no further information about his identity has been provided.
Similarly, no details about the identity of the hospitalized relative have been disclosed. The police are urging the public for any assistance in identifying the unknown person who committed the fraud in the Duisburg district.
