Oliver Twist Presented at the Free Waldorf School in Bergisch Gladbach

The Free Waldorf School Bergisch Gladbach is set to host a captivating performance of Charles Dickens' classic novel, 'Oliver Twist', on Saturday, 11th February, at 7 PM, and Sunday, 12th February, at 5 PM. The Aula of the Free Waldorf School Bergisch Gladbach, Mohnweg 13, 51427 Bergisch Gladbach Refrath, will be the venue for this theatrical adaptation by the school's 8th grade students.

'Oliver Twist' follows the story of an orphan boy who arrives in London during the Industrial Revolution. Falsely accused of a theft, Oliver embarks on a journey through different social strata, ultimately falling under the influence of the criminal Fagin, who trains homeless children to be thieves.

Dickens wrote 'Oliver Twist' as a critique of the British social system during his time, and the play continues to be relevant today, exposing hypocrisy and seeking justice and humanity. This performance promises to be a thought-provoking and engaging experience for all.

The students' hard work and dedication have been supported by Theas - Theater and Theater School e.V. Bergisch Gladbach, an organization in Bergisch Gladbach. The school's auditorium will transform into a stage for this heart-rending tale.

Admission to the performance is free, and donations are welcome. This event provides an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and support the school's students.
