One person dead, four hurt in shooting incident in Chicago Heights, report authorities
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a shooting incident occurred in the 400-block of West 14th Street, Chicago Heights, Illinois.
According to reports, Chicago Heights police officers responded to a disturbance at the scene, where they found three individuals shot. Another gunshot victim later walked into a nearby hospital. The exact circumstances leading to the shooting are still unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
The shooting resulted in one fatality and four injuries. One victim died from his injuries, while the remaining four were taken to local hospitals. Two victims are in critical condition, two are in stable condition, and another person sustained injuries to his face.
The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting in the investigation, and the Chicago Heights Police Detective Division is leading the probe. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 708-756-6400.
