In a series of events that unfolded over the weekend, a homicide investigation in Mazomanie, Wisconsin, has led to a fatal incident in Marinette County.

On Thursday night, at around 11:45 PM, deputies from the Dane County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for an EMS assist at a property in the 9800 Block of Dunlap Hollow Road, Town of Mazomanie. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of a 70-year-old man inside the property. His identity, as well as the name of the deceased, have not been released.

The following day, it was discovered that the victim was supposed to have dinner with loved ones but failed to show up and was unreachable by phone. As the investigation progressed, several law enforcement officers in Dane County reportedly chased the vehicle along US Highway 41 southbound. The suspect's vehicle was later found in Marinette County, specifically in Peshtigo, where the incident occurred.
