Nintendo Live 2023: A Gaming Extravaganza at PAX West

Nintendo is set to make a splash at this year's PAX West gaming and pop-culture convention, as they announce the arrival of Nintendo Live 2023. From September 1 to September 4, the Seattle Convention Center will play host to an exciting four-day event filled with gaming tournaments, live performances, and more.

The highlight of the event will be the Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 and Splatoon™ 3 Championship 2023 tournaments. Participants, who must be at least 18 years old to register (13+ for those in Canada and Mexico, and 18+ for those in Mexico), have the chance to compete for some impressive prizes.

The Splatoon 3 Qualifier tournament boasts a total prize ARV of $43,120 - $82,680 US, while the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Qualifier offers a total prize ARV of $9,280 - $12,280 US. The winners of these tournaments will receive entry to the respective championship event, lodging, airfare, trophy, jacket, backpack, My Nintendo Gold Points, and tech decals.

To participate, eligible individuals must have a Nintendo Account, which can be created if necessary. Registration for the event is required and can be done on the Nintendo Live website. The registration period starts on May 31 at 9:00 a.m. PT and ends on June 22 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Online qualifiers for the tournaments begin on May 27, and registration opens today at 9:00 a.m. PT. The event is open to legal residents of the US, Canada, and Mexico. Nintendo Live 2023 is sponsored by Nintendo of America in partnership with the Interstate Scholastic Esports Alliance (ISEA).

Nintendo supports the event by providing Nintendo Switch Online memberships and digital game download codes for tournaments and competitions. The registration process involves a random selection of participants for free tickets.

PAX West badge holders can visit the official PAX West website for details about attending Nintendo Live 2023. Each attendee with their own Nintendo Account must be linked to the same free Nintendo Account Family group for groups of two or more.

Nintendo Live 2023 is designed for people of all ages and gaming experience levels. The event features hands-on Nintendo SwitchTM gameplay, live stage performances, gaming tournaments, photo ops, event merchandise, and more.

Additionally, the Splatoon 3 Qualifier tournament includes two events, with registration open until June 3 and June 10, respectively.
