Over 9,000 students show up for the AP EAPCET 2025 exam in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad - here's what comes next in the admission process.

The much-anticipated AP EAPCET 2025 engineering exam commenced on May 19, 2025, marking the start of a crucial phase in the academic journey of lakhs of students across Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad.

Organised by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), the computer-based entrance exam is being held across 145 test centers throughout the state.

The exam, which will continue until May 23, 2025, aims to grant admissions into undergraduate courses in engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy. Over 3.6 lakh students have registered for the exam this year.

Strict Guidelines and Special Arrangements

To maintain fairness and prevent malpractices, strict guidelines were implemented during the AP EAPCET 2025. Candidates were required to go through biometric verification before entering the exam hall. Mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators were prohibited during the exam. Security personnel and invigilators were stationed at each test center to maintain discipline. Special arrangements have been made for students with disabilities and those requiring additional support.

High Number of Candidates and Two Sessions per Day

Given the high number of candidates, each exam day is divided into two sessions to manage the large number effectively. On the first day, 9,203 candidates appeared for the engineering stream.

Counseling Process and Results

Following the results announcement, the counseling process for admissions into various professional courses will begin. The results of AP EAPCET 2025 are likely to be announced in June 2025. The answer keys for each session are expected to be released shortly after the exams.
