Overpower the colossal nest of Lords in the newest Helldivers 2 expansion

Helldivers 2, the popular tactical shooter, has just received a new update titled "Into the Unjust." This update introduces a formidable new enemy: the Hive Lords. These gargantuan armored sand worms, the size of skyscrapers, are the first true boss fights in the game and are extremely difficult.

The Hive Lords pose a severe threat, with an astonishing 150,000 HP, making them the most durable enemies in the game. Their attacks can inadvertently crush and melt other Terminids, and their slams and acid disintegrations require evasive dives to avoid. Keeping a distance from where the Hive Lord emerges is essential to avoid being ragdolled and pushed away.

Killing Hive Lords requires a deep investment into anti-tank stratagems and multiple resupply call-ins, along with strong coordination with teammates. The Anti-Tank Emplacement stratagem from the Urban Legends Warbond is the best overall way to kill Hive Lords, dealing almost exactly one quarter of its health with each use. Each of its 30 anti-armor shells deals 1,300 damage, but the stratagem has a relatively short three-minute cooldown.

Taking damage from the Hive Lord is inevitable, but surviving is possible with stim packs. Fighting Hive Lords with a team is a satisfying experience. Hellbomb explosions, which have previously been able to obliterate every other enemy in Helldivers 2 in one blast, only deal 10,000 damage to Hive Lords.

The update also introduces several new types of Terminid bugs, including special units from the Rupture Strain and a flying Bile Titan called Dragonroach. Shams Jorjani, the CEO of Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios, said that upcoming content would make players "s**t their pants."

In addition to the new content, Helldivers 2 is currently on sale at Loaded.com. The standard edition of the game is available for $35.09, and the Super Citizen Edition, which includes exclusive extras, is also available for $49.89.
