Overweight Small Trucks in Kirchheim under Teck

In the city of Ulm, a 3.5-ton VW truck was stopped by the local police on Dettinger Street on Monday morning. The truck, heavily laden with L-stones, was found to be significantly overloaded, weighing approximately 46% more than its permitted weight of 3,500 kg.

According to the Police Headquarters Ulm, the driver, a 43-year-old individual, was caught in the act. The overloading caused the rear axle to be heavily compressed, posing a risk to road safety. Consequently, the police prohibited further travel for the truck.

The driver was required to unload the cargo onto another vehicle before continuing his journey. As a result, a nearby parking lot was used as a temporary loading area. The police measured the weight of the truck on a scale, revealing a weight of 5,180 kg.

The incident, which occurred in Ulm, was reported by the Police Headquarters Ulm and later transmitted via news aktuell. The driver now faces a fine of at least 235 euros and a point in Flensburg.
