The provinces of Lampang, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Nong Bua Lam Phu, and Phetchabun were all affected by floods caused by former Storm Nongfa on Sunday, August 29. The heavy rain, storm gusts, and increased flood risk have caused widespread damage in these provinces.
Phitsanulok has also been affected by the flooding, with officials surveying the damaged areas and distributing assistance as the Yom River rises. Flooding continues in Chat Trakan, Noen Maprong, and Wang Thong districts. Bailey bridges have been installed at two locations due to destroyed bridges.
Kalasin has been affected by flooding and landslides in six districts on Sunday, including Huai Phung, Khao Wong, Kuchinarai, Na Khu, Na Mon, and Somdet. Flood levels are subsiding on Monday, but the situation remains critical.
