Parent held in custody in Georgia for mistreating grandson during TikTok broadcast

A grandmother in Kutaisi, Georgia, was detained on Monday following an incident of alleged child abuse during a live broadcast on TikTok. The TikTok live video, which was later shared on other social media platforms, showed the woman feeding a child under the age of two and striking the child's hand when he tried to reach for a plate.

According to reports, the child started crying after the grandmother grabbed him, and the woman became more aggressive after the child allegedly threw the plate. During the live broadcast, the grandmother also displayed aggressive behavior towards viewers who criticized her treatment of the child, using derogatory language. She reportedly called one viewer a "cock-sucker slut" and threatened them, saying "If your mother had hit you, you wouldn't have turned out such a slut! Fuck off!"
