Passenger saved following accidental fall from BC Ferries boat
The Spirit of Vancouver Island, a BC Ferries vessel, was delayed by an hour on Wednesday afternoon due to a rescue operation. The BC Ferries organization confirmed the finding of a person who had gone overboard.
The incident occurred shortly after the vessel departed from Tsawwassen. The location of the incident was not specified, but it involved a departure from Tsawwarenn.
As the news spread, the Queen of New Westminster also joined the response. Rescue boats were swiftly deployed, and the BC Ferries crew managed to find the person in the water.
The person was taken to the hospital in a stable condition. However, no details have been released about the individual, including their identity or how they ended up in the water.
