In a grand celebration of excellence in the regulated U.S. online gaming market, Nuvei, a leading payment technology company, has been named the 2024 Payment Service Provider of the Year at the American Gambling Awards.

Nuvei, headquartered in Montréal, has over 20 years of experience in iGaming payment solutions and innovation. This is the first time Nuvei has won in the Payment Service Provider category, marking a significant milestone in the company's journey.

The American Gambling Awards, presented by the Gambling.com Group, recognise the top companies, products, and executives in the U.S. online gaming market. This year's winners were selected by a panel of 20 judges, including FanDuel CEO Amy Howe, BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt, and DraftKings CEO Jason Robins.

Warren Tristram, global senior vice president of gaming at Nuvei, expressed his excitement about the win, stating, "We are thrilled to be recognised as the Payment Service Provider of the Year at the American Gambling Awards. This honour underscores our commitment to delivering a superior gaming experience marked by ease of use, security, and trust."

Nuvei's pioneering adoption of Open Banking, through its Instant Bank Transfer platform using the RTP Network, showcases its leadership in real-time transactions. The company also tackles iGaming challenges such as regulatory compliance and optimizing player engagement and satisfaction.

Charles Gillespie, Gambling.com Group co-founder and CEO, congratulated Nuvei on the honour. He highlighted Nuvei's ability to provide a seamless, reliable, and secure payment experience as crucial for maintaining player engagement and trust in a complex market like the U.S.

The winners, judges, and invited guests of the American Gambling Awards will be hosted at Torrisi, a Michelin Star restaurant in New York City on Nov. 21. Winners receive a Golden Eagle trophy in recognition of their achievements in the industry.

Larry Henry, a veteran print and broadcast journalist who currently works as a senior reporter for Gambling.com, covering the gaming industry, especially legal sports betting, has been following the industry's developments closely. With a background that includes serving as press secretary for Nevada Governor Bob Miller and roles as political editor at the Las Vegas Sun and managing editor at KFSM-TV, a CBS affiliate, Henry has become a recognised commentator and journalist in gaming.

Nuvei is a publicly traded company that provides technology and insights for next-generation payments, payout options, card issuing, banking, risk and fraud management services. The company operates in over 200 markets with 150 currencies and 700 alternative payment methods.
