Peaceful pro-nuclear demonstration during Bärbel Bas' summer press conference

In a quiet demonstration last Sunday afternoon, a small group from the pro-nuclear power association Nuklearia attempted to make their voices heard during ARD's Summer Interview with Green Party leader Felix Banaszak. However, their efforts were unsuccessful as the protest was largely peaceful and did not cause any acoustic disturbances.

This was the second attempt by Nuklearia to position themselves within sight of the TV set. Their previous attempt, during the interview with SPD leader Bärbel Bas, also failed due to an earlier-than-expected recording of the interview, which was held at the Reichstag building.

It is worth noting that the production time for the interviews was kept a secret this time, following the fiasco during the interview with Alice Weidel in mid-July. The disruptions caused by the activist group "Center for Political Beauty" at that time led to ARD deliberately omitting the live broadcast on the internet and press conference for security reasons.

The interview with Alice Weidel was severely disrupted by the activist group, who arrived with a sound truck and caused a commotion. This led to ARD's Berlin studio keeping the production time a secret for the subsequent interviews.

ARD recorded both the interviews with Felix Banaszak and Bärbel Bas in front of the Reichstag building. A large number of police were present during the protests to ensure public safety.

Despite the peaceful nature of the protests, it is clear that the pro-nuclear power association Nuklearia is determined to make their views known. They managed to position themselves during the second attempt, albeit without causing any significant disruption to the interviews.
