Peacock's new ad-free streaming platform, now available on Amazon Prime Video, is a potential option worth monitoring for an attractive streaming offer
On August 28, 2025, NBCUniversal, owned by Comcast, expanded the reach of Peacock Premium Plus by partnering with Amazon to make it directly accessible through the Prime Video app. This collaboration allows Xfinity X1 and Xumo customers seamless access to Prime Video, as well as thousands of hours of on-demand entertainment, news, and sports content from Peacock Premium Plus.
The integration of the formerly separate Freevee app means that Prime Video subscribers can now enjoy an even wider selection of movies at no extra cost. Furthermore, more hit Universal Pictures Home Entertainment releases will be available for purchase and rental through Prime Video.
Mike Hopkins, Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, expressed excitement about the mutual distribution that benefits shared customers in a statement about the new agreements with Comcast NBCU. The agreements, however, do not mention any changes to the price of Peacock Premium Plus or Prime Video.
Prime Video already boasts one of the best free trial windows out of its competitors, with a 30-day trial period. The new Peacock add-on, available alongside Prime Video's extensive library of movies and shows, includes popular TV shows such as Poker Face, Yellowstone, and The Paper.
In addition to Peacock Premium Plus, Prime Video offers a variety of expanded add-ons, including MGM, Starz, and Paramount. With its competitive pricing and generous free trial window, Prime Video continues to be a top choice for streaming entertainment.
