On the morning of June 23, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on Marxstraße in Hattingen, involving a 17-year-old motorcyclist and a VW car.

The incident took place at around 11:15 AM, and the motorcyclist, who was riding a Honda, lost control and slid into the VW. The collision occurred because the VW had to stop at a pedestrian crossing due to traffic conditions.

As a result of the accident, the 17-year-old motorcyclist sustained light injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The total damage from the incident was in the low four-figure range.
